Hawksbill Sea TurtleAquaimages -- Hawksbill Sea Turtle
Average Life Span: 30 to 50 years
Size: 2-3 feet
Weight: 100 to 150 lbs
Protection Status: Critically Endangered
Fun Fact: Young hawksbill turtles are unable to dive deep. They spend their early years amongst sea plants near the water’s surface. Hawksbills get their name from their tapered heads, which end in a sharp point resembling a bird’s beak.
